Placements

SRCC is perceived to be the best commerce college in the country. Besides its academia, faculty, infrastructure, alumni network and the plethora of student societies, it often makes news because of the sky-rocketing placements its students grab at the top companies. Over the last few years, college students have had great placements, thanks to the consistent efforts put in by the Placement Cell.

The Placement Policy of the college divides the companies into three tiers based on the cash component offered to the students with Tier 1 companies offering the highest. Those securing a placement with a company are not allowed to sit for the placement process of the same or a lower tier company, effectively ensuring that all the students benefit from the placement opportunity.

There has always been curiosity among the students to know about placements – what kind of companies shall visit the campus, what profiles will be offered, the kind of questions that may be asked, areas to focus on etcetera. Blog_Placement
So, what we have here for you is a small effort by SRCC-Wings of Fire, to aggregate and share the experiences of a few students among those who successfully nailed the selection process of the companies during the 2016-17 academic session. This wouldn’t have been possible without the support of all those students who shared their experiences with us and also provided their important inputs w.r.t. their respective placement preparation. We believe that this information would be of immense benefit to the upcoming batches, for it is said, “Together We Learn”.

We also hope that this should be the trend setter and those who crack the placements this session, will share their experiences, interview questions with us so that this becomes a learning platform for all the students in the near (and far :p) future. Sharing is Caring, after all!

We will keep updating this tab with any information we receive for other companies as well. In case of any query or assistance with respect to placement, feel free to write to us at wingsoffiresrcc@gmail.com

Note: The questions, case studies, guesstimates shared here are for your reference only. They just provide you an insight into the concepts or topics that you may look into or a mark against which you can check your preparation level. Companies over the years have been changing their selection process and it is imperative that you always stay updated with it.

The Placement Policy of our college divides the companies into three tiers based on the cash component offered to the students with Tier 1 companies offering the highest.
Historically tier 1 provides something between 11-15L, tier 2 between 7-11L and the companies providing below it are categorized into tier 3.
Well, it is imperative to stay updated with placement policy of the current session too.
Also more than the amount what matters is the firm and the profile you are offered.

There is no minimum requirement as such for most of the companies. However higher the CGPA, better it is especially for the top tier companies (POR’s, ECA’s etc are equally important)
Having CGPA more than your batch’s average is considered good.
